Tennessee Flood

We were in Tennessee the other day when the levy broke and it flooded I-24. The Police had the interstate blocked West bound and east bound. We had unloaded in a couple of small towns getting out just before tornado’s touched down.Since the interstate was closed we decided to try to go around using the smaller roads. This is what we saw.

All this happened in just a couple of hours…

This is the road in front of us… We had no choice but to go through the flood waters .We had to find a place to turn around and get out before it got any worse. Our truck and trailer is around 60 feet in length and you just cant turn it around anywhere.Danny said we would be alright the water wasn't rushing.

We tried several back roads but they were all flooded. Nothing to do but turn around and try to get back to the interstate and the truck stop and wait it out.

Here we go again back through the flooded road.

We finally made it back to the interstate. The water had receded enough the police opened the east bound side and we made our escape!

We got a few miles and the left lanes were still full of water.

We made it through.

Our hearts and prayers go out to you Tennessee.

Keep on Truckin!
