The Visit

I always enjoy the grand kids coming over for a visit. They bring such joy to my heart! Yesterday afternoon Ayla came to visit and spent the night.I’ve been promising her we would get in the kitchen and cook up something. So she looked through the cook books and came up with these,Chocolate Butterfly Cakes. She made them and decorated them her self.I supervised of course and we had a blast. She was just adorable! I got so caught up in all the joy of watching her that I totally forgot my camera.I did manage to get some pic’s of the  finished product.

We got up this morning and cooked some good grub! Ayla cooked pancakes and eggs and I cooked the sausage. She cooks great pancakes!

Recipe for the Chocolate Butterfly Cakes are at the bottom. Their easy to make and taste great too!

I scanned the page from the cook book.Hope you will make some soon with your grand kids or kids and if you don’t have your own borrow some from your brother, sister, friend or a neighbor! They will thank you for the break and your life will be filled with lots of laughs and joy!!! Kids are good for the heart you know, and they lower cholesterol!(I think.) So do ya self a favor and find you some today!

  1. What a sweet time and a darling girl. Aren't kids the BEST? I wish I had a houseful but I'm so grateful for my two, though one is 18. Still my little girl - always will be!
